Art medium is what it is printed on or finished with. There are three mediums that I offer:
• Acrylic (two different types)
• Gloss Hardwood
• Maple Hardwood
My personal preference is the Acrylic. Images are printed using a printing process called Lumachrome - which gives the images a high definition, brilliant finish that is unmatched by other processes in my opinion. Your art will stand out, be brilliant and bright and look amazing where ever you display it. If you choose to purchase for commercial purposes, I would recommend the more expensive 1/4" acrylic. It is thicker and more durable for high traffic areas where it might get bumped or fall. For home viewing, the standard is perfect!
Metal is generally printed using a process called Chromaluxe. This also gives off a beautiful high definition finish, and can be done directly onto the metal for a "metallic sheen" or onto a white on top of metal finish. Metal prints are a beautiful and durable way of displaying your prints. The are thinner and can additionally be framed if desired, without the need for glass. Metal can also be mounted directly to the wall without the use of a frame.
Gloss Hardwood is a nice, sturdy, this piece of hardwood with a gloss finish, almost like a plastic attached to the top to give it a bright and brilliant finish on a sturdy backing - great for hanging anywhere!
Maple Hardwood is printed directly onto the smooth finish of maple wood. Anything white or light colored in the image will show through to the beautiful wood finish.
Canvas prints are a more traditional, less vibrant medium, that will give them a more hand-crafted appearance. Beautifully printed with a 1 1/2" wrap, this medium of art can be hung in any room directly to the wall.
